What we’ll be looking for this spring…

Hey girls! Springs here, so is new clothes. But you know what they say: out with the old, in with the new. So, here comes our least favorite words…..closet clean out. That means throwing and donating all of those old cashmere sweaters and uggs,digging to re-locate your favorite spring ensembles, and the most dreaded one: giving away things you “don’t need” (Check out our fellow blogger into mind’s tips on how to clean out a closet: http://into-mind.com/2012/03/25/spring-cleaning-wardrobe-detox/#comment-2686) . But don’t donate that huge bag, at least not until you read this list of what you should keep:

1. Whitewash and darkwash shorts

These shorts can go with anything- from simple and clean shirts to wild and funky ones!

2. True Religion colored capris:

The new True religion capris are perfect for the colder days in spring, and for you! Even though they're $198.00, they're a perfect splurge! (pictured in Oasis, Light Emerald, and Coral)

3. Some cool spring shades

Hey!

We recently got a comment from Juju: “OMG! im obsessed with Leighton Meesters outfits and her style. how do i get an outfit like it?” We’re glad she asked that, because we’re adding a new category to 2chicgurls. What? Style icons. Since you may not know what a style icon is, heres a make-believe definition (please note that we got pronunciations from http://dictionary.reference.com/) :

Style Icon (stahyl ahy-kon): The celebrity/friend/neighbor whose clothes/makeup/style/etc. are to die fore, therefore making you buy everything they have.

Yup, we think every girl and possibly boy has at least one. We have at least 3 thousand…but, back to Leighton Meester:

Leighton has such cute clothes , whether its walking around town or filming a scene for Gossip girl (see pictures below). On Gossip Girl, her super-stylish character Blair Waldorf’s style is vintage-prep*. Off G.G, she has a effortlessly chic look. How to get them? Just look below:

Casual-cute:

We love everything about this outfit. Her hair is curled and gorge, her bag is edgy but adorable, and her shirt is slouchy -but not in a bad way. What we heart the most is her sunglasses. Gossip girl outfits:

Where to start with Blair Waldorfs style? She's just: perfect. To get her style: mix a dash of vintage with a touch of preppy. Then, add a smile and perfevtly groomed hair and VOILA! Blair Waldorf in a nutshell. But to conquer the actual twin-look, look below.

Hey!

Sorry i didn’t write one last Monday, but here I am now for comment-ers mondays makeup obsession! When i got a comment from JuJu telling me: “omg. im in luuuv with Kat von D True romance eyeshadow palette. if ur obsessed with random shades of eye shadow, check out this.” So, i ‘checked it out’ and the verdict is….ITS AMAZING!

I love the nude and green tones, the sleek box, and pretty much everything else! For the people who, well, aren’t checking out Sephora.com daily here’s what it looks like:

Who ever writes Sephora descriptions describes it perfectly, but heres a few ideas on how to wear it…

Smoky eyes: With a touch of green eyeliner over a few different shades ( I’d choose “Orbi- a green gold shimmer”, “Dimebag-a metallic lime green” and smoothed together with “Tequilla- a metalic cornsilk shimmer” and/or “Downtown metallic light copper shimmer”) this would look so cute! Depending on just how green you go, you could wear it from a hang-out to a fancy dinner. Your choice!
Glamorous and low-key: Glamorous AND low key? Yup, i know it sounds crazy, but a few shades of nude blended with brown mascara is totally gorge!
Costume: Got that costume party coming up? Make your unique look with the different shades and you’ll be the belle of the ~~ball~~, well, party…

Tough: Leather jackets, studs and ripped jeans are the epitome of this style. To tough it out, try this leather jacket from Nordstroms!

Vintage: No modern girls here! Vintages love clothes that aren’t so new- that is, style wise. Check out this great book to see what catalogs and styles were like in the 50s!

Lets be honest here: TV shows and movies have some of the cutest clothes.Well, of course they do! They have instant access to stylists knowing the perfect things to wear! (Unless they’re models, then they have DESIGNERS telling them what to wear) But, if your a normal person, (A.K.A: You don’t have a stylist, designer, makeup artist, and a script in your daily/weekly life), here’s some of TVs cutest looks, and how to get them:

Look: Modern Familys Gloria Pritchett (Sophia Vergara)

Sofia’s/Gloria’s outfits are GORGE. To get a look like hers, try a v-Neck shirt and jeans (we like Sevens, see the picture below)

These “Roxanne Original Skinny in L’Amour Empire Blue” are so cute, and versatile. You can wear these with ANYTHING.

Look: The girls on The Bachelor (Blakley and Kacie B)

How much do we love Blakeleys striped romper? Almost too much. We also love this romper from Urban Outfitters (below)

Though it’s not striped, this romper from Urban Outfitters is perfection with wedges and a silver bracelet.

Just like Kacie and Ben, we’re in love. Only its with Kacie’s red button down. We luckily found a look-alike at Bloomies, pictured below.
