Flipping  through magazines and observing some cute outfits I found a cool “outfit-adder” that I had forgotten about: a blazer. These add color, or even out an outfit or just make it chicer!

Unicorns Weekly Obsession

Hey,

With the rainy past few days (or at least where I live…) I though I write a post in “honor” of the rain, a post about my weekly obsession,  rain boots and umbrellas. Enjoy!

When I’m looking for a pair of rain boots I normally turn to Hunters brand or http://www.wellyboots.com/. The shapes are simple, there are tons of colors and you know that there reliable because there so popular.

When I am wearing solid colored boots, I like wearing skirts, shorts, skinny jeans or leggings. I like them to be a part of the ensemble of the outfit, the thing that makes it click. ($125 Nordstroms)

Unlike solids, I like these boots to be the thing that makes this outfit POP, therefore I like to wear skinny jeans or leggings when I rock these shoes.

Everyone needs a little something to keep there hair from frizzy in the rain. What’s that little something? An Umbrella!

Expensive:

Oh La La is right! Wear this umbrella with basically everything but try not to clash with the rain boots (solid boot colors work best). ($129 http://www.umbrellas.net)

Cheaper:
Simple and Sweet, wear with solids mostly but theres always room for some funky pieces! ($14.99 Target)
Let It rain

Hey,

In Key West, I got my haircut and learned an awesome hair trick. A way to fix your pool damaged hair,  so forget the $8.00 bottles of chlorine shampoo, theres and cheaper way…CLUB SODA (about $2 at most supermarkets)

  1. Before you get into the pool (lake, ocean etc.) wet your hair with fresh water. Your hair can only absorb so much so less chlorine will get in it
  2. When your done swimming for the day, wet your hair with fresh water
  3. Then, turn the water off (this really matters) and pour Club Soda on it.
  4. Let it sit for about 3 minutes.
  5. Then wash your hair regularly with shampoo and conditioner
For me, this prevented “crunchy hair”. I hope it does for you!

Hey! Spring always brings urges for new and fresh fashion accessories, and whats better than a chic headband to celebrate?

  • ~ Don’t want to spend money? Grab an old ribbon or a tie that used to belong to the shirt you never wear or even some cool yarn, tie it, then just slip it on.
  • ~ To get the best look for wearing a ponytail or bun with a  headband try not to put it on by pushing it on to your head, instead lift it and then place it on the place you want to avoid your hair to bump up.
  • ~ Pick a headband that goes best with your look…
  1. Low-key but cool- Try thin headbands with messy buns.

Soft and pretty- Try headbands with big flowers and colors that POP

~Simple but cute- Try thick headbands in solid colors.

Ashley Tisdale's blond straight hair and red headband add some "pizzazz" to her white and black outfit. (Get the look! Try: Red Headband, 11.99, tanojewelry.com)

Unicorns Tuesdays Trends

Everybody has that one or two weekly fashion obsessions. The things that you have tons of different colors and types of in your closet and your daily outfits usually consist of them for that week but then something new comes along. Unicorns here to share her weekly Tuesdays trendy obsession

Unicorns weekly obsession is…scarfs! I’ve loved adding scarfs to my outfits for a long time, ever since my dad bought me a light pink pashmina in NYC for $5 (great deal!) but this week i just can seem to stop wearing scarfs!. Double looped, single looped, knotted or just over the shoulder. This accessory can we be thrown on to any outfit for the best way to leave the house. Two of my fave ways to where a scarf is with a pair of leggings, a tight or loose simple tank, a cardigan, and pair of flats or TOMS, or with a pair of jeans, a loose crop top or sweater and a pair of combat boots. Of course for both of these outfits you would add a totally chic looking scarf. Check out some of Unicorns fave scarf picks below.

that goes well w/ the scarf)crop top
and a pair of jeans tucked into a pair
of combat boots for a bold but
stylish way to stroll the streets.(Scarf,
 $12.95, H&M)

-Go simple with this scarf and
wear it with a cardigan and some
super skinny jeans or leggings,
add some TOMS and ta-da a cute
but laid-back outfit. (Linen Scarf,
$29.90, ZARA)
Try out some of these trendy scarfs this week along with Mermaids Mondays Makeup   for more obsessions.
