Heyy, I’m the writer of all-thingsrandom.blogspot.com and here is my entry:

Turning Boy clothing into something fashionable(the easy way :) )
1st style: the shirt dress
A shirt dress is almost $300 in some stores, and you definitely could say the shirt dress is a comfortable but cute look, with a fancy side. If you don’t want to empty out your purse on this trend but want one of your own; read on. The shirt dress is extremely easy to make:
Step1: Get your dad or boyfriends old shirt  (the collared ones with pockets look especially cute).
Step 2: Get (or recycle)t a matching belt to put around the waist of the dress to give some shape to it.
Step 3: Rock your shirt dress!
Accessories to complete this look:  Combat boots look AMAZING with shirt dresses and are found at zappos for as low as $21.99. Also, flats are nice if your going for the fancier look. Necklaces in beige and white are a neutral yet cute add-on.
Hair: Like in the picture below, buns look adorable! I also like hair down with a solid color or floral head band
2nd style: Big T-shirts
So say there is this sports t-shirt that your dad or boyfriend or even your brother gets, but then grows out of it quickly. It goes in the give away pile right? No way! You can turn this shirt into some thing just as cute (not as fancy) as the shirt dress and just as quickly!
Step 1: Get your dad or boyfriends or brothers old shirt. Vintage washed ones with sport logos are recommended.
Step 2: Get(or recycle) a matching belt to put around the waist of the dress to give some shape to it.
Step 3 : Find a pair of skinny jeans or leggings or tights to wear under.
 Accessories to complete this look: High boots and long necklaces look too pretty and add a little chic and girly touch. Bangles also look good (colored/beaded ones)
Hair: In a side ponytail or braid looks best with this ,but, a thin head band with a high ponytail could look cute too.
3rd style: Ties
Ties (bow or not) look cute on girls too. If you want to add a little preppy too your look; than this is for you!
Step 1: Find a collared shirt (I always find ties look better on shirts with collars but feel free to experiment) Solid colors works best.
Step 2: Find an old tie( bow or not) of your boyfriend, dad or brother and ask them to teach you how to tie it
Step 3: Find the right pair of pants. I like skinny jeans or leggings for this outfit.
Step 4: Find accessories to match
Accessories to complete this look: I like oxfords for this look to finish the whole preppy style. Belts are always cute if you want to tuck in your shirt and you can even use and old tie to do that too!
I hope you now make sure you brother, dad, or boyfriend doesn’t throw away a potentially great outfit in the give away pile!

Hey girls! Thanks so much for the contest posts! We LOVED them! You guys are amazing, results are coming soon….. (good luck) We’ve been super busy ‘grading’, learning, shopping, and running (and possibly thinking of a new blog….) but heres a quick post about two polyvore pics I made for a contest:

Hey!

We are huge travelers-we’ll go anywhere: Instyle, Montauk, Italy, The Big Apple….you name it, we’ve went there! And we pick up VERYYYY cute clothes. but whether your shopping in NYC, on a gondola, or tanning on the Islands of the Caribbean, we have a perfect outfit.

NYC-strolling the streets:

Update: Try a super cute jean jacket like this H&M one.

Cheap: Less is more! Wear a black tank and an adorable scarf- and you’ll be the ‘apple’ of every ones eye!

Expensive: We love two different trends in one- like this Urban Outfitters shirt thats sheer and studded.

Italy-can you say Milan Fashion Week?

Update: On all the runways, nail designs are amazing! Paint yours with your favorite color, let it dry, then stencil something cool over it. We like using reinforcements, then using a nail pen to draw designs

Cheap: When your in a city as beautiful as Italy, you’ll want to see everything! Wear a cute headband and nothing-even your hair- will be in your way!

Expensive: When walking the busy streets of Venice, the last thing you’ll need is a foot cramp. Prevent them in these striped flats!

Update: To get an all natural tattoo, cut a paper shape and stick it anywhere. Tan, then take it off, and you’ll have a sun tatoo!

Cheap: No need to shade your eyes when your wearing a floppy hat like this one from J.Crew! As a bonus, its coral and cute, so it’ll bring out your tan.

Expensive: Before you swim, you’ll need a cute cover-up. Armani has a stunning one that is “perfect for layering.”

Memorial Day Matches

Sleep tight, Let the fashion bugs bite!

Hey!

Here at 2chicgurls, we live, eat, breathe, and…sleep fashion? That’s right, even our PJs are in style! Unfortunately, this isn’t the case for everyone. Some people, like a commenter, can “can never chose what to wear at a sleep over”. But don’t worry, we have that trouble too! So here are your nightly newbies (from head to toe:)

Head: Who likes when your hair is keeping you awake? Not us, we like using terrycloth headbands, especially ones by Betty Dain. As a bonus, you can use these for spa days!

Eyes: When you can’t keep your eyes open  in the middle of the day, whether you’re studying or just had a loooong day, the sun is hard to block. Don’t worry! With Dream Essentials Snooz Silky Soft Eye Mask in Black, you’ll soon be zzz-ing!

Neck: When you’re in the backseat after a day of traveling, falling asleep is usually the best thing to do. Don’t worry about neck cramps, the Memory Foam Car Neck Pillow saves you!

Legs: Now that it’s spring, we have to say goodbye to our fuzzy pants ( :( ) but, we can still wear cute boxer shorts, especially ones with cute cartoon characters like Tweety-Bird!

Feet: When our feet our shivering, we stay warm in stylish slippers!

Yawn…we’re kinda tired now….goodnight!
