Everyone has a go-to makeup look goal, whether its pretty, edgy, or bright! But c’mon, its hard to actually, well, find the makeup. But never fear, mermaids here! Here’s some gorgeous makeup, tested, and approved by me, thats cheap ($30-under) and pretty awesome.
For the natural look:
EYES: With four different colors, this palette has an infinite amount of beautiful look-possibilities.
Even though the color here is red, this yummy, shiny gloss comes in amazing colors like ‘crystal water’ and ‘sun baked’. My personal fave is Pink Ice.
The M.A.C. Bronzing Powder is perfect at giving you a gorgeous glow!
For the smoky look:
L’Oreal One Sweep Eye Shadow
It’s been popping up everywhere, and lets just say, it’s so worth the fuss. Easy and simple? Yes please.
When wearing a smoky eye, you don’t want the lips to be too bright, so a coral smooth balm is your fix!
With a smoky look, a little bit of sparkle is key. This affordable ($5.49!) pallette is my hero!
For a bold look:
SEPHORA COLLECTION – Colorful Duo Eyeshadow
Blue brings out every eye, and this duo is a perfect example. The colorful pair tastefully (no tacky looks here!) makes your eyes practically scream “notice me!”
If anyone wears bright lips and eyes, they’re doomed. Thats where yummy-tasting, clear balm comes in, and believe me, you’ll be applying it like there’s no tomorrow!

As a week goes by and while were blogging, or running, or just sitting we usually think of our next outfit ideas. We always think closey about our days first.
Schedule:
Monday- Event: Picnic
Location: Anywhere grassy
Plans: A blast to the past. Cartwheels, tag, anything that reminds you of your little kid days. Plus, you’ll burn off all the calories from the burgers (yummmm).
Outfit: Dress comfortable with what you have in mind (see above) rock out some comfy jean shorts, a fun tee, some bright flip flops, and maybe some light lip gloss.
Tuesday- Event: Brunch
Location: The city, a cafe
Plans: Meet up your siblings, with work and all you’re dying to catch up with basically your at home best friends!
Outfit: A cute sundress, some chocolate-brown sandals and maybe even a floppy hat!
Wednesday: Event: Day Off!
Location: Home
Plans: All you want is a cup of tea, your favorite book and quiet.
Outfit: Depending on who you are maybe you don’t want to go to low-key, or just dress in your favorite outfit, even if it means your ragged college baseball cap…(hair down please!)
Thursday: Event- Huge presentation
Location:work/school
Plans- Work: Get a promotion! School: Get and A+!
Outfit: Look clean and professional, this probably isn’t the time to show off you new vintage heels that you got last week at your favorite thrift shop (sorry heels!). Instead maybe a blouse and skirt will fit in better.
Friday- Event: SHOPPING SPREE
Location: Anywhere with, well, clothes, makeup and anything worth buying.
Plans-Blow off some cash and come back with a new wardrobe fill with the seasons must-have. PLus, find massive sales!
Outfit: Now this is the time to show off past fashion buys. BUt, don’t wear to many layers or trying on things in the dressing room will be a UH-OH. Maybe add accessorizes like a lace headband or bow with a fishtail braid.

Update: On all the runways, nail designs are amazing! Paint yours with your favorite color, let it dry, then stencil something cool over it. We like using reinforcements, then using a nail pen to draw designs
Cheap: When your in a city as beautiful as Italy, you’ll want to see everything! Wear a cute headband and nothing-even your hair- will be in your way!
Expensive: When walking the busy streets of Venice, the last thing you’ll need is a foot cramp. Prevent them in these striped flats!
Fiji-Soaking up the sun…
Update: To get an all natural tattoo, cut a paper shape and stick it anywhere. Tan, then take it off, and you’ll have a sun tatoo!
Cheap: No need to shade your eyes when your wearing a floppy hat like this one from J.Crew! As a bonus, its coral and cute, so it’ll bring out your tan.
Expensive: Before you swim, you’ll need a cute cover-up. Armani has a stunning one that is “perfect for layering.”
Costa Rica-Zip line, anyone?
Update: Always bring your cutest umbrella everywhere! Even when you’re not in a tropical forest, it could come in handy.
Cheap: Fit into the jungle with this exotic green bracelet.
Expensive: When the rain doesn’t go away, be dry in style with this chic raincoat.

Unicorn, a friend, and I just had an AMAZING shopping day in the city. We got so much cute stuff! Heres what, where, and why we went to the perfect places we did.
Comments: Wow! From the moment we walked in to the store, we fell in love. The clothes are too chic, and pretty affordable. A mix between girly and trendy.
Hearts: Everything about this store is is perfect! The atmosphere is really nice, too.
Uh-Ohs: Very popular, long lines.

Comments: This store has a mix of everything- so sugar/spice. When we entered the ultra-cool store, complete with awesome wall designs, amazing salespeople, and-yes-free lemonade, it was love at first site.
Hearts: Must we say just one? The clothes are adorably boho and the service is incredible. We could go on and on and on,
Uh-Ohs: A teeny bit more expensive-but so worth it!

Personally, we LOVE this movie, the fashion, the plot, it’s a must-see. Basically it’s about a girl (Hathaway) in NYC who’s wants to be an editor. When no jobs come up, except a job as a 2nd assistant at RUNWAY fashion magazine she takes it knowing NOTHING about fashion or the company. She then suffers from the frustration of Miranda Priestley, the head of RUNWAY (Streep) and faces multipy crazy situations… You have to see the rest!
Ofcourse, being a fashion movie it shows some great outfits, SCORE.
I LOVE this look. Hair pulled into a “princess” do, gloves,necklace and bright red lipstick. Oh La La.

Here at 2chicgurls, we live, eat, breathe, and…sleep fashion? That’s right, even our PJs are in style! Unfortunately, this isn’t the case for everyone. Some people, like a commenter, can “can never chose what to wear at a sleep over”. But don’t worry, we have that trouble too! So here are your nightly newbies (from head to toe:)
Head: Who likes when your hair is keeping you awake? Not us, we like using terrycloth headbands, especially ones by Betty Dain. As a bonus, you can use these for spa days!
