I’m sure we all know the feeling when we want to get a new (insert brand of makeup here: ___ ). We go to the store, head over to its section, and feel completely overwhelmed. Luckily, when you read on, you’ll find my fix for the problem: the right makeup for every single type of skin, with quick tips included.

Foundation
Oily: Acne is not exactly on good terms with you, but never fear, your super savoir is here! Introducing…

Dry: When it comes to moisture, you can’t get enough. Luckily, Bare Minerals has a little helper.

QUICK TIP: When testing out foundations, put it on your jawline, versus on your hand or cheek.
Blush
Fair: A pale pink will give you a pretty flush, without looking like overkill.

Medium: All you need for a bright dash of color is a swipe of hot pink, which (surprisingly) doesn’t make you look like a circus clown.

Olive: An orange-pink blush is universally flattering, especially on olive skin like yours.
Your blush: Color of The Year Prisma Chrome Blush in Apricot Brandy
Dark: A purple blush will give you a gorgeously natural glow.

QUICK TIP: For a sweet and girly look, smile in the mirror before blending in the blush with a big brush. For a more dramatic and fierce look, make a ‘fishy face’ (suck in your cheeks) and apply.

Eye shadow
Blue/gray eyes: A metallic color (the darker your eyes, the darker the shade) will make you shine- no pun intended.

Average Lashes: Your in a Goldilocks position; not too strong, not too weak, but do you know what your just right is? A mascara that will draw attention to your eyes without being too showy.

QUICK TIP: Don’t wiggle around your mascara brush until its out if the bottle, it’ll dry it up more quickly. Instead, lift it straight up out of the mascara, then wiggle it around to your hearts delight.
Lips
Gloss
Fair: A clear gloss with a hint of sparkle will look pretty and (bonus!) not wash you out.
Your Gloss: NARS lipgloss in Albatros
Medium: Pale green can’t be a lip gloss. Or can it? It turns out that it gives you a pale pink color. So pretty!
Your Gloss: Lancôme Color Fever Gloss in Green Petal.
Olive: A drop of gold will be enough to make you shimmer and shine all day.
Your Gloss: Estee Lauder Pure Color Sequin Finish in Molten Honey
Dark: Magenta is bound to make your puckers perfect (with a little help from a certain moisturizer)
Your Gloss: Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss in Black Honey
Quick tip: Make sure that you rub your lips together after applying the gloss. Otherwise, it’ll look sticky and messy.
Lipstick
Fair: What happens when pale white meets pale nude? Instant perfection
Your Lipstick: Tarte LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint in Exposed
Medium: A coral will be a beautiful- yet unexpected alternative to boring old pink.
Your Lipstick: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Tuuti Fruti.
Olive: A red-orange will instantly turn every eye on you

Dark: A deep red-brown is surprisingly sophisticated.
Your Lipstick: Nars Lipstick in Autumn Leaves
Quick tip: A little foundation goes a long way! Just applying a little of it on your lips before the stick will keep the color lasting much, much, MUCH longer.

EYES: With four different colors, this palette has an infinite amount of beautiful look-possibilities.

Even though the color here is red, this yummy, shiny gloss comes in amazing colors like ‘crystal water’ and ‘sun baked’. My personal fave is Pink Ice.
The M.A.C. Bronzing Powder is perfect at giving you a gorgeous glow!
For the smoky look:
L’Oreal One Sweep Eye Shadow
It’s been popping up everywhere, and lets just say, it’s so worth the fuss. Easy and simple? Yes please.
Dior Addict Lip Balm
When wearing a smoky eye, you don’t want the lips to be too bright, so a coral smooth balm is your fix!
With a smoky look, a little bit of sparkle is key. This affordable ($5.49!) pallette is my hero!
For a bold look:
SEPHORA COLLECTION – Colorful Duo Eyeshadow
Blue brings out every eye, and this duo is a perfect example. The colorful pair tastefully (no tacky looks here!) makes your eyes practically scream “notice me!”
If anyone wears bright lips and eyes, they’re doomed. Thats where yummy-tasting, clear balm comes in, and believe me, you’ll be applying it like there’s no tomorrow!

So alot of the time we buy that amazing makeup, but the problem is….it doesn’t work. And that is really annoying. I mean, who likes buying a $20 lip stain that, well, doesn’t stain? No one. So… here I am, saving you with splurges that give you results that WORK:
Baby Lips SPF 20 lip moisturizing balm: Maybelline says that it will give you “visibly renewed lips in 4 weeks.” At first, I doubted it, but now it’s a different story. Trust me, this will instantly make your lips softer, and depending on the color, brighter!
BADgal Lash Mascara: When I got the mascara, it was because it was on sale. Now, I count on it to make my lashes “thick, beautiful and bodacious”.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil: This liner is smooth, soft, and everything you could want in an eyeliner. My sister, a.k.a my makeup guru, swears by it.
NYC New York Color Smooch Proof 16HR Lip Stain: I have this lip stain in Champagne Stain, and it totally makes my lips very pink for verrryyy long. J’adore!

Ok, makeup is amazing. If any human girl doesn’t agree, then I personally think you are crazy. But anyway, there is a downside to makeup. The after results. Now, I’m not talking about the amazing Chap Stick that completely plumps and softens those lips. Or the lotion that makes your skin sooo soft! I’m talking about the “Oh, whatever, I don’t need to take this makeup off” problem. You know-the one where you don’t remember/care enough to take off that makeup, and you wake up with skin that is anything but attractive. When that happens- you need fixes, fast. Sorry i didn’t write one last Monday, but here I am now for comment-ers mondays makeup obsession! When i got a comment from JuJu telling me: “omg. im in luuuv with Kat von D True romance eyeshadow palette. if ur obsessed with random shades of eye shadow, check out this.” So, i ‘checked it out’ and the verdict is….ITS AMAZING!
I love the nude and green tones, the sleek box, and pretty much everything else! For the people who, well, aren’t checking out Sephora.com daily here’s what it looks like:

Who ever writes Sephora descriptions describes it perfectly, but heres a few ideas on how to wear it…
- Smoky eyes: With a touch of green eyeliner over a few different shades ( I’d choose “Orbi- a green gold shimmer”, “Dimebag-a metallic lime green” and smoothed together with “Tequilla- a metalic cornsilk shimmer” and/or “Downtown metallic light copper shimmer”) this would look so cute! Depending on just how green you go, you could wear it from a hang-out to a fancy dinner. Your choice!
- Glamorous and low-key: Glamorous AND low key? Yup, i know it sounds crazy, but a few shades of nude blended with brown mascara is totally gorge!
- Costume: Got that costume party coming up? Make your unique look with the different shades and you’ll be the belle of the
ball, well, party…

Hey gurls!
As usual, i have a new obsession! What? Drumroll…..
BADgal Lash mascara by benefit! Me and my friends were at sephora, browsing the mini sale rack, whan something caught my eye: A tube of nice mascara for $9.00! Naturally, we bought it, with 50 gazillion other things. When we got home and sampled all of the items…we LOVED IT! (coincidentally, this was the same day i bought tokidoki lip-gloss, from my very first makeup post!) Those two were my two fave buys. Why?
First, look at the brush. ZERO clump alert! Second, the tube has pink { <3 } I know, i know, i’m obsessed! But this is seriously genius! J’adore!
